There are several key elements when it comes to hair loss. The majority of hair loss is something that you can do nothing about – it is simply something that is going to happen to you whether you want it to or not. When these things happen, they happen, and male pattern baldness is something that you can’t stop. However in most cases, and in the cases of some kinds of hair loss, nutrition can play a big role and can either prevent certain types of hair loss, or help you deal with hair loss that you can’t control.
Getting good nutrition is always important, but if you are prone to hair loss, it is something that you might want to consider very carefully because it could be the deciding factor in how quickly you lose your hair, or how much hair you end up losing.

Hair loss is one of the most common problems, and also the most difficult to tackle. While healthy hair indicates good general health, hair loss can be an indicator of a deeper internal health problem. Hair loss in women has been attributed to several factors till now: stress, lack of iron or anemia, condition of the scalp, condition of vital internal organs like the kidneys, liver, thyroid etc., emotional disturbances, menstrual problems, illness or lack of essential vitamins and other nutrients in the body etc. Hair loss generally indicates a deficiency in vitamin B1, vitamin C, lysine and iron. Vitamin C\'s antioxidant properties help to make skin and hair healthy by aiding body metabolism, and converting fat and carbohydrates into energy. It helps in the development of healthy collagen that binds tissues together.

In minor cases of temporary hair loss, hair growth canbe stimulated by massage, since blood and oxygen flow to thescalp must be healthy in order for hair to grow. A blend of six drops each of lavender and bay essential oilsin a base of fourounces of either almond, soybean or sesameoil massaged into the scalp and allowed to sit for 20 minuteshas been used by aroma therapists to stimulate the scalp. Once the mixture is in the scalp for 20 minutes, wash yourhair and scalp with your normal shampoo mixed with threedrops of bay essential oil.
